Stunning Indian Destination Wedding at Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen
This definitely was one of our favorite weddings last year. We spent four days working with Shivani and Neel in what turned out to be an incredible luxury destination wedding at the Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen Resort and platinum wedding reception at the El Cameleon Golf Course at Mayakoba.
This entire event was put together by the incredible team at Events by Nisar, which honestly we would have to put them down on our list of top five wedding planners we've ever worked with (sorry, not sorry).
The events began at the Grand Hyatt, where we had Mendhi in the Bridal Suite, followed by a incredible session in the gardens inside the complex (there are so many beautiful places in this hotel).
That night, we had a magical Sangeet portrait session that featured a outdoor cocktail hour, and indoor performances in an ornately decorated wood ceiling ballroom. This place was beautiful!
The next morning, the wedding day began with a few getting ready touch ups at the bridal suite and groom suite, and continued to a intimate first look just before they were whisked away to capture some beautiful creative moments around the hotel.
Talk about entrances... This groom decided to take the traditional baraat ceremony and made it an incredible moment with all the groomsmen as they rode in on jetskis through the open ocean, landing on the beach to a cheering family and friends... What a way to start the party! The ceremony started on the pristine white sandy beach at Playa Del Carmen, and continued until the Vedhi which ended the ceremony.
The evening was kicked off at the El Cameleon Golf Course in Mayakoba and as cinematographers, we have to say we got some romantic moments with the couple, our favorite was a drone flyout with the couple having an intimate kiss on the balcony of the club house. The reception details were the perfect touch to this romantic evening, like the S+N floral design at the bride and groom's head table, to the hanging lights across the dance floor, made this such an iconic and intimate experience for the guests.
And what better way to end the night than having a local performance by a traditional rhythm musical group and an incredible fire breathing performance that made all of our jaws drop!
